Mission
The mission of the department is to nurture well educated, competitive and innovative civil engineers in area of water resources, hydraulics, road and bridge engineering who possess well-founded theoretical knowledge, competent professional skills, individual and team work ability and managing competency.

The Department of Engineering Structures offers educational opportunities at all levels of higher education in the areas of highways, bridges, hydraulic structures, and water resource and irrigation engineering, as well as conducts research project and professional development training. |
Research Focus
The Department of Engineering structures conducts research on the design of streets, roads, bridges, tunnels, and hydraulic structures in accordance with geological and hydrological conditions and the urban environment, the use of environmentally friendly advanced material technology in road and bridge construction, and the testing and modeling of hydraulic structures as well as adaptation of water resources management in changing climate.
